Sheila Wright is the Contracts, Grants, and Operations Specialist at Harrington Discovery Institute.
In this role, she manages both outgoing contracts and grants from Harrington Discovery Institute to external entities, as well as revenue-generating contracts and grants. She is responsible for supporting, overseeing, reviewing, and facilitating the execution of contracts and grant agreements, ensuring the smooth management of their entire lifecycle. Additionally, she serves as the primary liaison between grantee institutions and Harrington project managers, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
With over 30 years of experience in contract management, finance and real estate, Sheila brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise. For the past 14 years, she has served as a Contract Expeditor at Case Western Reserve University, where she has successfully implemented, managed and expedited various contracts including procurement agreements, independent contractor agreements, subcontracts, sub awards, small business plans and purchase agreements. Her meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills have enabled her to streamline contract processes and ensure compliance with institutional standards.
Sheila is a seasoned and licensed real estate agent. She has honed her financial acumen and developed a keen eye for budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis, making her a well-rounded professional in both business management and real estate. Her extensive experience in contract negotiations combined with in-depth knowledge of finance and procurement, enables her to navigate complex agreements with efficiency and precision, ensuring optimal outcomes for all stakeholders.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with emphasis in Business Administration from Baldwin-Wallace College, now known as Baldwin Wallace University.
