Jim Ratner of Cleveland, Ohio was deeply distressed when his older brother Mark was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Mark is a world-renowned chemist and is known for being the “father of molecular-scale electronics.” As a brilliant scientist and educator, the Alzheimer’s diagnosis was devastating to him as well as his family, friends and colleagues.
