2025 Oxford-Harrington Rare Disease Scholar Award
The Harrington Prize sculpture was created as a symbol of the awardee’s work and the dynamic interrelationship between creativity, innovation and impact.
The fabrication process for this sculpture is centuries-old, using a traditional method of a lost wax casting to arrive at the bronze sculpture. The pieces were sanded, polished, and patinaed with potassium sulfite and ferric nitrate to achieve a unique surface that varies throughout the piece.
All the work was completed in the artist’s studio in Cleveland, Ohio.
